Philemon Folkes

Obituary of Philemon Sylvester Folkes

Please share a memory of Philemon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Philemon most affectionately called Roy, Phil, Mus, and uncle Mus,

Phil was the fourth born child on March 29 to Clementina and Melbourne Folkes in Friendship District Moneague PO in the Parish of Saint Ann. in the Island of Jamaica West Indies.

At the early age of 20, Phil left Jamaica, traveling to the USA on the farmworkers program, was met and fell in love with Kathrine Folkes, and got married.

Phil worked for Xerox in 1972 until he retired. Phil had a zest for life. His motto was Friends, Food, Fun, and family. He loves to cook and entertain his friends and family; he knew no stranger. He would talk to everyone he meets. He has the most considerable heat of any human being; he is kind, caring, loving, giving, and one of the best cooks I have ever known. He loves to play music, dominoes, and enjoy his friends.

Phil would give you the shirt off his back to help you if you needed it, indeed a great person, he will be sadly missed, but he is now in a better place, resting in the arms of could Jesus until we meet again.
