Obituary of Carolyn Hare
Carolyn Hare was born on Janaury 23, 1945 to the late Mary Wilson in Powhatan, Alabama. As a small child, she relocated to Rochester, New York. Carolyn received her education from the Rochester City School District and was a graduate of James Monroe High School.
In 1966, Carolyn was united in marriage to Waddell Hare. She and her devoted husband recently celebrated 55 years together. They are the proud parents of four children: Pamela Wilson, Rodney Henry, Kimberly Hare-Anderson (Jack) and Aprile Hare.
Carolyn retired from General Motors. She began her career as a production line worker and was soon promoted to Executive Administrative Assistant in the Engineeing Department.
In October 1999, Carolyn submitted her life to Christ. She was a faithful and hardworking servant at Faith Tabernacle of Prayer. She worked and served in various roles including secretary to the Bishop.
Carolyn faithfully devoted her life to her husband Waddell - caring for and raising her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was affectionately known as “MeMe”.
Carolyn was predeceased by her mother Mrs. Mary Wilson, four brothers and a sister. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband Waddell Hare, daughters: Pamela, Kimberly, and Aprile; son Rodney and son-in-law Jack; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, five sisters, a brother, a sister-inlaw, two brothers-in-law along with a host of family and friends.
