Beatrice S. Hill was born on April
25, 1933 in New Bern, North
Carolina to the late James and
Reverend Annie Mae Best. She
was called to eternal rest on
Monday, December 28, 2020.
Beatrice graduated from
Nazareth College where she
received a Bachelor’s degree in
Sociology. She retired from The
Mary Cariola Children’s Center
after more than 20 years of service.
She was a member and past Worthy Matron of Ezra Chapter 122,
Order of Eastern Star.
Family meant everything to Beatrice. She was especially fond of the
holidays when everyone gathered at her house for fun, food and festivities. Beatrice was an amazing cook. She loved to bake cakes and sweet
potato pies.
Beatrice was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Jerald (Peter), her
husband, her sister Ethel Chatmon and nephews: Timothy Simmons
and Joseph Chatmon.
Beatrice is survived by her children: Jeffrey, Diane, Kevin and Rodney;
special cousin Dorothy Harris; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and church family.
Always and forever loved...she will truly be missed
