A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Peggie Burroughs finished her race and was called home on November 21, 2020. Born in Kingstree, SC on March 16, 1945 to Billie and Elizabeth Dansby Burroughs. Peggie grew up in Kingstree where she attended St. Mark High School and graduated as the 1963 class Valedictorian. Peggie was a lover of sports and enjoyed dancing and listening to music. She was funny, outgoing, and very witty.
Peggie is preceded in death by her parents; Billie Burroughs Sr. and Elizabeth Dansby Burroughs amnd siblings; Willie Joe Burroughs, Chloie V. Beacoats, Leroy (Laura) Burroughs and Billie Burroughs Jr.
Peggie is survived by her two sons; Christopher (Beverly) and Tyrone (Dena) Burroughs both of Atlanta, GA. 13 Grand children; Alana, Lelani, Maylia (Rayston), Tariq (Kristen), Kiara, Jamila, Cayla, Aniya, Danyel, Tariq G., Donovan, Nakiya, and Nadia, 8 Great grand children; CJ, Jaden, Christian, McKinley, Rowan, Kali, Bella, and Taj. God daughter, Ebony Burroughs of Columbia, SC. Sisters-in-law; Myrtle V. Burroughs of Rochester, NY and Mae Burroughs of Nesmith, SC and a host of nieces and nephews.
