Elouise Cassandra Butler, 79 of Winter Garden, Florida passed away on June 29,
2020. She was born on January 10, 1941 to Louise Cooper and Webster Jackson in
Winter Garden, Florida.
In 1959, Elouise graduated from Charles R. Drew School in Winter Garden,
Florida. She went on to study cosmetology at the Dade County School of
Cosmetology in Miami, Florida graduating with honors as a licensed beautician.
Elouise also worked as an educator for Orange County Public Schools for 25 years.
In 1996, she retired from the Orange County School Board. In 1996, Elouise was
honored with an Employee of the Year awardfor teaching and received several other
assistant teaching honors.
She enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family and friends. Elouise
was equally passionate about styling hair. Concerned about her students, she often
shopped for them and mentored the most vulnerable kids at Grand Ave. Elementary.
Elouise was a faithful member of St. Paul AME Church in Winter Garden, Florida
where she was Vice President of the choir and she loved to sing. She also enjoyed
going to the movies.
Elouise is survived by sons: Wayne (Andrena) Moore and Marlon Moore; daughter:
Madrena (Andrew) Butler; sisters: Reverend Lugenia P. Sanchez, Elease Johnson,
Eva Mae Slaughter; brothers: Marshall Pollard, Edward Pollard; 6 grandsons, 2
great-granddaughters, cousins, nieces, nephews and loving friends.
She is preceded in death by her son, Torris Moore and mother Louise Cooper.
