Obituary of Jennifer L. Turner

Please share a memory of Jennifer to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jennifer L. Turner was born February 2, 1953 in Hartwell Georgia to the late Julia Scott and Roger Hass. After High School, she relocated to Rochester, NY. In 1969, she met the love of her life, John Turner and they married on June 11, 1974 and remained devoted to one another until her death. Together they raised two beautiful children: Jon and Jamie (Semaj) Turner. Jennifer obtained an associate degree and worked at Xerox as a technical machine operator where she worked until 1999. She enjoyed teaching others to do the job she loved so much. An avid traveler,Jennifer loved visiting California. Her spirit of adventure and zest for life expanded her palate and improved her social skills. Many of her hobbies included family gatherings and events, playing cards, Bingo, laughing and joking but most of all she enjoyed cooking. Once you eat from her kitchen you are family! Whether a wife, a mother, a friend, a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on -- she did it all. She was all things to all people--always honest, always with and smile and always keeping it real. Left to cherish her memory, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Breon M. Walker, Rashad Turner, Kwantajah Turner, Sheleeka, Synia, Serenity Turner, Daequon Brown, Saree Ware, Semajenae Ware and Jead'n Turner. We could not leave out her special friends some preceding Jennifer and several still remain: Martha Ellis, Jessie Moore, Olga Jackson, Ollie Mae (Sue) Dooley, Erica Dobbs and Melinda who loved her like a sister. When her work was complete on earth, God said it’s okay give her back to me so I can comfort her and take her home. I ask that we all say “Thank You” -- Thank you God, for giving her to us for just a little while -- she showed us your way and now have your way, all we ask is that you make her smile. She’s not hurting, crying, suffering or sick anymore -- she did not quit; she did not give-up. You shined like a fericious, fearless flame until you were down to the wick and ultimately became too sick. You fought your fight your way and you won your way.
