Alonzo “Lon” Adams
Sunrise, May 1, 1934 - Sunset, April 24, 2020
Born in Lumber City, Georgia on May 1, 1934, Alonzo graduated from Lumber
City High School in 1953 as class Valedictorian. In 1956, he was Honorably
Discharged from the United States Army before moving to Rochester, NY. He
worked for the Eastman School of Music for a number of years and retired in
1991 from Eastman Kodak after working for them 26 years. He was a family man
and an avid fishing angler, whose favorite pastime was relaxing on the lake
trying to land the big one.
He was preceded in death by mother Mozella Ellis, stepfather Roosevelt Ellis
and brother Alphonso Ellis.
Alonzo is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Euralene Adams, two sons;
Keith A. Adams, Kevin L. Adams, granddaughter Marillena Adams, and sister Sarah
(Larry) Conaway, and a host of other family and friends.
