Obituary of Betty Lee Johnson

Betty Johnson was born October 10, 1949, to the union of Stephen and Lila Mae Graham in Andrews, South Carolina. She was the first born of three children; Marion Graham and Blanche Estrich. She moved to Rochester, NY with her family as a young child. She attended and graduated from Madison High School. She worked as a Health Care Provider. Her interests included spending time with family. Looking after her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her the greatest joy. Betty departed this life on Thursday, April 16, 2020. She was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Graham and her brother Marion Graham. She leaves to cherish her memory: her longlife companion, Joseph Chandler; her children, Rodrick “Rod” Johnson (Rachel), Juanita “Wanda” Johnson, Yolanda “Londa” Johnson (Lester); her mother, Lila Mae Graham; her sister, Blanche Estrich; her grandchildren, Tyrist Bell, Toderick Gross, Jaquawn “Tre” Johnson (Michael), Walter Parker, Tyrone “Ty” Respress Jr., Ni’Asia Johnson, and Rodrick Johnson Jr.; and her great-grandchildren, Janiyah Bell, Javion Bell, and Maya Respress; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends." A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
