Doris Hanna was born on August 21, 1926 to Richard and Katherine Gamble. She had 3 brothers, Joseph, Herman and George, who all preceded her in death. Doris was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Doris joined the White Rock Baptist Church in March, 1955, by Christian experience. Doris was a faithful worshiper and dependable member of the Sheepfold of Roger Williams/Nehemiah/ Esther and an active member of the Women’s Mission Union, especially the Trustee Aid Circle.
On August 31, 1947 Doris was joined in holy matrimony to Patrick Hanna Sr. and their union was blessed with two sons, Patrick Jr. and Richard.
Doris attended Albany State College for two years. She spent twenty-five years working as a payroll clerk for the City of Philadelphia. She was a dedicated worker who gave her all.
Doris enjoyed cooking, home decorating, sewing and spending time with her family.
Cherishing memories of her life are her husband Patrick Hanna Sr., two sons, Patrick Jr. (Jocelyn) and Richard; three grandsons, Brandon (Niki), Jason (Kristen) and Corel; six great grandchildren, Jayden, Miles, Jason Jr., Allison, Natalie and Ryan; two nieces Deborah and Sharron, one daughter-in-law, Linda Hanna-Foreman, and a host of grand nieces and nephews as well as her White Rock Church family and friends.
