Obituary of Yvonne Hodge
Please share a memory of Yvonne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Yvonne Hodge was born on September 19, 1949, to the late Bessie
and George Thomas in Opelika, Alabama. She attended Sanford
High School where she graduated in May 1967.
After the birth of her son, Keith Hodge (predeceased) she moved
to Syracuse, NY where she married her long time boyfriend, Elroy
Hodge in 1968. While living in Syracuse she worked at Bristol My-
ers, St. Joseph Hospital and Miller Brewery.
In 1978, Yvonne moved to Rochester, NY with her son and daugh-
ter, Benita Hodge (predeceased) and began working at Genesee
Brewery. She retired in 2003.
Yvonne liked to sit around with family and friends to laugh and have
a good time. She enjoyed going fishing and spending quality time
with her grandchildren. Certainly cannot forget wherever she went
she always had a “Genny”, there was never a dull moment. She defi-
