Birdean W. Brown, 82, of Rochester New York, departed on Monday, January 13, 2020 with her loving and caring family by her side.
Birdean was born on July 9, 1937 to the late James and Martha Rodgers, in Carthage, MS. In 1960 she relocated to Rochester, NY where she married the late Hershel Weldon. The two created a family consisting of four children, eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Birdean was employed with Rochester City School District and remained there until she retired in 1985.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Hershann (Blease) McCullough, Linda D. Weldon, Wayne H. Weldon and Paul E. Weldon; siblings, Jesse (James) Carson, James E. Rodgers, Sue Rodgers, and Wayne (Vanessa)Rodgers; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
She is predeceased by siblings; Billy Stevens, Robert Rodgers, and Joe Rodgers; Husband, Melvin Brown and Hershel Weldon.
Her family will remember her for her sweet, loving, nurturing spirit and her devotion to the Lord. She will be greatly missed.
