Obituary of Raymond Cunningham
Please share a memory of Raymond to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Born to the parents of Lucille and Westley Cunningham Sr., Raymond was one of eight children. Raymond was raised in Jesup, Georgia and while there he attended Wayne County Training School. Even as he grew into an adult, he still enjoyed some of his favorite hobbies like watching wrestling, bowling and crossword puzzles.
In the 1970's, Raymond moved to Rochester where he held down several jobs including truck driving, construction, and security. While here he met and married his wife June and together they had two children, Moira and Ray Jr.
In recent years, Raymond rededicated his life to God at the Aenon Baptist Church. There he served faithfully as a choir member, bus driver, and regularly attended bible study. At his residence, Danforth Towers, he continuously assisted Sister Bodison with bible study.
Approximately two years ago, Raymond relocated to Conway, South Carolina. On April 27, 2006 he went home to be with the Lord.
