Obituary of Tamara Jones-Williams

Tamara Jones-Williams was born in Rochester, NY on May 3, 1965 to Willie James and Barbara G. Jones. She received her education in the Rochester City School District completing her education in 1982. Her love for children led her to become a paraprofessional at #16 School on Post Ave. Tammy, as she was affectionately known, enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her contagious smile and laughter brightened up any room she entered! Tamara met Mr. Deryal Williams in 1979. As fate would have it, they were reunited in 1994 and were married December 1996. They shared two beautiful children together, William and Deavana. Tamara Jones-Williams departed this life on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Strong Memorial Hospital. Predeceased by her parents, Willie James and Barbara Jones, she leaves cherished memories to her husband, Deryal; children, William and Deavana; her brother, Eric (Maria) Jones; sister, Travita Jones; a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins and other relatives. The family will receive friends on Friday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 174 Thurston Rd., where Tammy's life will be remembered and celebrated on Saturday at 11AM. Pastor Anthony Bonds, officiating. Interment, Falls Cemetery.
