Alice, Adrian and Tyrone lived nextdoor to for some time in Greenleaf Meadows, We lived there for over 10 years and had many different families live in that home. However Alice and her boys were by far our most favorite. We developed a wonderful relationship that continued long after they moved.
Our most heartfelt sympathies go out to all of Alices' family. Cherish her memory..... I know that we will.

My name is Christopher who graduated RSD in 1985. Yes, I do know who Alice Ellis was because we were high school students there. She really was such a sweet, funny, and nice lady. Before her death, I happend to think of her very often until I was told about her death. I was so shocked being learned about her death. I will always miss and think of her terribly lots. She already found a new home in Heaven with my beloved mother who passed away of a lung cancer in 1998. My prayers and thought will be always with her and your family forever. God Bless You.

I have known Alice since I was little. I have in my possession a picture of Alice and myself at Seneca Zoo--we were 9 or 10 years old. It is one of my favorite pictures because it represents the story of Alice's life 110%...always laughing and smiling. One of the last special things I did with Alice was that we volunteered at the Italian Cuisine party hosted by the Rochester School for the Deaf Alumni Association in September of 2005. We had so much fun at this fundraiser which was a hit!
Alice, your legacy will continue through your two boys. Until we meet again. ILY Pam

First I want to say my condolences to the Johnson-Ellis Family. Alice was my god mother and was a great woman. The Biggest thing I remember about Alice when I think of her is her smile! she always was able to "light up" a room with her smile. I will never forget her and she holds a special place in my heart always.
Alice, all though you're gone and it hurts, i know you're in a better place looking down on us. i want you to always know that you will always hold a special place in my heart and i will always love you. when ever i think of you i remember all the good times and the bad times we had, all the camping and vacations we went on and i will always hold and cherish those memories with me forever, you weren't just a friend to me, but soo much more then that you were my god mother and i love you and i know its selfish to say but i didn't want you to go. But someone recently told me that God need good people to go with him and help him with a bigger purpose so until that day i see you again know i love you and i want you to shine and be that angel that i know u are and always have been in my eyes Good bye Alice ill miss you soo much and God bless

Through my niece,Bee-Bee (Alice), death, I see how her life touched others. She raised 2-great boys who have grown into handsome young men and she had "true friends" and "family" that extended beyond her birth family. You all have been so loving and supportive and for that I am forever grateful. Thank you all for being there for her and her boys not only through her illness, but always.
