Obituary of Ruby Griffin

Ruby Griffin was born to Moses Jordan and Queenie Glover Jordan on March 1, 1930, their only child. Ruby was born in Little Washington, PA and later moved to Rochester NY, where she lived most of her life, until she entered into rest. Upon coming to Rochester, Ruby joined First Genesis Baptist Church where she was a member until she became too ill to attend services. Ruby loved her family she was the cherished mother of two daughters and one son, and a loving wife. A mother figure to many in the Rochester area "Miss Ruby" as she was lovingly called enjoyed family gatherings, playing bingo, fishing and traveling. Ruby believed in God and gave her life to Him. She passed into a peaceful rest on February 7, 2007. She leaves to cherish her memory: Husband Bolden Griffin Jr. Rochester, NY Daughters: Brenda J. Simmons, Patricia A. Jordan and Son: Anthony L. Jordan all of Rochester, NY. Grandchildren: Frank Simmons Jr. Virginia, Queenie Simmons Alabama, Norman Simmons, Donald Simmons both of Rochester, NY, Ronald Simmons (Paula) Erie, PA. Sonya D. Jordan Rochester, NY, Anthony L. Jordan, Alex L. Jordan, Antwaun L. Jordan, Anquanette L. Jordan, Anfernee L. Jordan and Alijawaun Jordan, all of Rochester, NY. Ruby was predeceased by two grandchildren Derrick L. Jordan and Clifton D. Simmons. 15 great grand and 5 great great grand Special friend: Sarah Williams Interment, Grove Place Cemetery, Chili, NY.
