Obituary of Queen Green

Queen Ella Davis-Green was born to the union of the late Noah and Lucy Davis on May 9, 1910 in Rockingham, North Carolina. She met and later wed her late husband Miles Green in 1931. From their union they had fourteen (14) children.
Queen spent most of her life down south in the North Carolina area, she later moved to New York in the late fifties. She was a devoted mother, wife, and housewife.
She loved to cook, sew, "dip" Navy snuff, and watch westerns. She loved interacting with her children and grandchildren. She always had a bright smile for you or a quick wink of the eye.
Queen believed in God and gave her life to Him, she past into a peaceful rest on Thursday June 7th.
She is predeceased by her husband Miles and their children: Hattieglen, Dorethea, Lucy Mae, Miles Jr. (Bo), Leroy, Joshaway, Noah, and Joe Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Three sons: Thomas (Mary) of Albion, New York, James of Holley, New York and Johnny (Liz) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Three daughters: Josephine (George) Blackmon of Albion, New York, Barbara (William) Dixon and Bessie (Sidney) McCoy of Rochester, New York. One sister, Noliah Martin of New Jersey, who she recently was reunited with in February after fifty (50) years. Three (3) nieces: Ruth Martin, Effie Wall, and Carrie Ratley of North Carolina and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren and friends.
