I just can not believe the things that happen in Rochester even though I was not that close to this family member it hurts dearly to know that a life so young has been taken away from our family. Mel will be greatly missed but at least his legacy will live on inside with his two little ones and hopefully justice will be received to the rest of the family.

To the Wigington Family, My heart and prayers are with you all. Jamel has always had a special place in my heart. I was his (and Elizabeth's) first grade teacher at #34 School. I remember Jamel as a sweet and caring boy. He had a smile that brightened our classroom and he made me smile every day. I am SO deeply saddened by his senseless passing. Know that I am praying for all of you every day. May God bring you peace.
