Growing up on Arch St., I remember playing hide & seek, making "poison pea" soup with berries that grew in my backyard, playing hopscotch & freeze tag...eating julips that we got at the "candy store".
One of my fondest memories was the incomparable Miss Mary Dennis...She was a woman of such strength, & love. She was one of those neighbors that everyone knew & loved. Her reputation preceeded her whereever she went. She taught her children to respect everyone around them. You always knew who was kin to Miss Mary when they greeted you. All of her kids called my mom "Miss Debbie". They still do!
She was a kind woman who's smile could light up a room. Her generosity & undying faith were untouchable. Not a day went by that Miss Mary didn't serve the Lord, and share his love with those around her. She was a blessing to all, and will truly be missed. My heart is deeply saddened at the loss of Miss Mary. This world has lost one of the classiest and most sincere people around. While I am sad for this world, I can only imagine the homecoming that she received in heaven! I love you Miss Mary, and thank you for the impact that you have made in my own life, and in that of so many others.
I send my deepest condolences to all of her friends and family during this most difficut time. May the Lord bring you peace and comfort.
Sincerely,
Jessica L. Willoughby

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Mother Dennis was a true Saint and an inspiration to everyone who met and knew her. Although I only knew her for a short time, she made me feel like I was a missionary with her and instilled in me the desire to work as hard as I could for the lord.
God Bless you All Sis. Barbara Tisdale

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. It is so difficult to have someone you love fall asleep in death. There is comfort found within God's word the Bible. I just wanted to pass on that comfort to your family.
Revelation 21:4- God will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more.
John5:28,29- the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.

We extend our condolences, but do rejoice in knowing that Mother Dennis, has entered into one of the many mansions, in Our Father's House.
We were honored to give her flowers while she was yet alive, during the Salute to the Seniors.
May God place peace in your heart,

I was deeply sadden when I heard the news. I wish I could be there. Sis. Dennis has done a lot for me through the years. My heart goes out to your family! When I came back home for Thanksgiving break, I was going through some pictures. And Sis. Dennis was in one of them along with Jacynta...at my kindergarten graduation. And now I'm 21 and I could go on and on about what Sis. Dennis has done for me: the words of encouragement, helping me get my first job etc. She will be truly missed!

This is truly a time to celebrate as this is the Homecoming of a true Saint. Mother Dennis is now able to say, "My Lord," directly to our Savior. Her life was a testament to how to live for Him. We who she has left behind, can view her life as a blueprint for gaining a place near His Throne. She departed this temporary physical life, to gain the eternal spiritual life. We are to rejoice, as we remember the Saint who walked amongst us.
We will miss, remember and always Honor you, Mother,
The Bynoe, Dasher and Gilbert Family.
