Oscar Crosswell Leigh Allen was born December 19th, 1931 in Allman Town, Kingston, Jamaica one of 6 children born to Benjamin Apheus Allen & Vera Streete.
Born from humble beginnings Oscar eventually made his way to England in 1954, and soon after he sent for his family to join him. After going to school to learn the welding trade he and his family made their way to Rochester, New York on the Queen Elizabeth in 1968.
Oscar retired from General Motors Products division and loved reading, baseball, going to the horse track races and family functions.
Oscar Croswell Leigh Allen left this life on March 14th, 2009 and is survived by his sons, Heron Allen & Jamal Allen ; daughter Marcia Allen-Dowlatt; brother, Bunny Allen, sisters, Hazel Gaye & Barbra Allen, and 3 grandchildren Theasha Faison-Davis, Marcus Allen & 'Kevin' Allen and many other relatives in the U.S., England and Jamaica.
Interment, Riverside Cemetery
