Survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary; daughters, Karen (Michael) Nabors, Kimberly (Herman) Collins, Constance (Calmez) Atkins and Carla (Kenneth) Henry; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Elmer Herring, Kenny (Denise) Smithers, Michael (Yvetta) Smithers and Ernest Herring; sister, Ann Mack; god-children, Roberta Gause and Sharon Gaffney; and a host of other relatives.
Services were held privately.
